Keep a cinema in Beckenham

Beckenham Odeon is due to close in December 2026. The new owners of the building, Citygate Church, want to change its use from a cinema to a place of worship.

Losing Beckenham’s cinema would be a significant loss to our town. A local cinema brings people together, adds to the cultural life of Beckenham and helps bring people into our town centre and High Street.

We want to see a cinema retained in Beckenham and ask Bromley Council, when considering any change of use, to give full weight to the importance of retaining this valued cultural and community facility.

Beckenham needs its cinema.
