Save Bromley’s 24-Hour Police Front Counter
Bromley residents are at risk of losing round-the-clock access to their only police station.
Under current plans, the front counter at Bromley Police Station would close overnight — leaving people without a safe place to go in person when they need help most.
Why this matters
If these plans go ahead, Bromley will have no 24-hour police front counter at all.
The nearest alternative would be Lewisham Police Station — too far for many residents, especially late at night.
That could leave:
- survivors of violence with nowhere safe to turn
- people in danger forced to travel across boroughs
- residents without internet or phone access shut out from help
A broken promise
The Mayor of London promised that every borough would keep a police front counter.
Bromley is now being left behind.
What we’re calling for
Bromley Liberal Democrats are calling for:
- 24-hour in-person police access in Bromley
- a rethink of plans to cut front counter hours
- a full public impact assessment if any changes go ahead
