Protect Bromley from Conservative–Reform UK Chaos

Bromley cannot afford political chaos

Across the border in Kent, residents have already seen what happens when Reform UK takes control of a council.

Since taking over at Kent County Council, the administration has been marked by financial mismanagement, failing services, councillors being suspended, breakaway groups forming and a full-blown leadership crisis.

Residents deserve stability and competent leadership — not political chaos.

The warning signs are already appearing in Bromley

Now the same instability is beginning to appear here.

Two senior Bromley Conservative councillors have defected to Reform UK ahead of the May elections:

  • The Cabinet Member for Finance and Contracts
  • A senior councillor responsible for scrutinising Children, Education and Families

These are not minor roles. They were at the centre of how Bromley Council is run.

Their defection shows just how fragile the Conservative administration has become.

A vote for the Conservatives could mean a Reform UK -run council

With defections already happening, Bromley Council could easily end up in No Overall Control after the election.

If that happens, how many more Conservatives will switch to Reform UK to stay in power?

It raises a serious question for voters:

A vote for the Conservatives could end up being a vote for a Reform UK run council.

Bromley needs stability - not political games

Residents deserve councillors who focus on:

  • Delivering reliable services
  • Responsible financial management
  • Proper scrutiny of decisions
  • Long-term planning for our borough

Instead, the risk is that Bromley becomes caught in the same kind of political chaos already seen elsewhere.

Liberal Democrats will put Bromley first

The Liberal Democrats are standing up for stable local leadership.

Our councillors focus on:

  • Good governance and responsible decision-making
  • Standing up for residents in every ward
  • Practical solutions instead of political drama

While other parties argue and play political games, Liberal Democrat councillors will focus on what matters: delivering for Bromley residents.

The choice at the election

This election is about the future direction of Bromley.

  • More Conservative–Reform UK chaos
  • Or stable, community-focused leadership

The Liberal Democrats will keep working for the benefit of the whole borough - putting residents before political nonsense.
