Robert has lived in Beckenham for over 25 years and cares deeply about the future of the local community.
With a 30-year career in civil engineering, he brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to tackling problems and balancing competing priorities.
Robert’s key priorities include meeting local housing needs while preserving the essential character of the town, enhancing Beckenham’s parks and green spaces, and improving local transport for residents.
Taylor Matthews
Taylor has spent most of his life in the borough of Bromley, particularly in Eden Park. He attended Langley Park School for Boys and now works in academia.
He is passionate about education, both for young people and adults, and believes strong local schools and lifelong learning opportunities are essential for thriving communities.
Taylor is also concerned about the housing crisis and tackling crime locally, and these would be among his key priorities as a councillor.
Matt Thorpe
Matt has lived in Kelsey and Eden Park with his family for the past eight years. He works as a senior computer engineer for a fintech company.
He became involved with the Liberal Democrats after seeing the failures of successive governments to support communities and protect vital public services.
Matt loves the local area and is committed to keeping it a beautiful, safe and vibrant place for families and children to grow up in.
