Speed Cameras in Homesdale Road

Support from Conservative Councillors for Lib Dem Campaign

The 3 Conservative Councillors for Bromley Town have announced that they will support the calls of local residents - and the Lib Dems - for a speed camera to be installed in Homesdale Road.

Residents have been campaigning for this for years - and the spate of serious accidents over the last 3 years has heightened our concerns. We welcome this support and their promise to approach Transport for London (who are responsible for installing speed cameras here).

Lib Dem Assembly Member Caroline Pidgeon, who is chair of the London Assembly Transport Committee, has already submitted a formal request for a speed camera on Homesdale Road to Transport for London. She said: "I've met residents of Homesdale Road and have heard about the danger they face every day from speeding traffic. I'll be working with the local Lib Dem team, the Mayor of London and Transport for London to make sure that a speed camera becomes a reality for local residents. "
