Bromley Council has just one official air quality monitor in the Borough, located in central Bromley (Harwood Avenue). Bromley Liberal Democrats are calling for the council to set up monitoring stations in all our main population centres and areas with known air quality issues.
Bromley Council have just published their draft plans for improving air quality over the next 10 years. However, without accurate monitoring progress cannot be measured. Accurate live information can highlight problems and hotspots in order to trigger immediate remedial action as well as provide families living in the borough with reliable information about the quality of air where they live, work and where their children go to school.
