This is a public meeting to discuss the issue of poor Air Quality in Bromley, the impact on health, the hot spots locally and what can be done. We will look at the particular problems experienced near to the Waldo Road Recycling and Refuse Centre, plus experiences of people living near to Orpington Station where some road design changes have had a serious effect on air quality, and some residents of Beckenham who have experienced recent attempts to improve traffic flow and air quality with mixed results.
Tim Webb, an independent Air Quality Specialist will be at the meeting, he will make a presentation and will be available to answer questions. Lib Dem member of the London Assembly Hina Bokhari will also attend and will talk about what the Mayor's Office can and should be doing to help with the issue.
