Penge

Local campaigners in Penge are leading a campaign to make Britain a safer place to live.

A campaign, launched by Lib Dem leader Ming Campbell, is calling for action to take back our streets.

Priorities include putting more police on patrol and making prison work.

Ming Campbell said, "It makes me angry when I meet ordinary hard working people who have had their lives ruined by the effects of crime and anti-social behaviour."

Lib Dems in Penge & Cator will be carrying out a crime survey across the area. Local campaigner Tom

Papworth said, "We want to hear local people's experiences with crime and their ideas on how to make our community safer."
