Ben Abbotts with campaign team members pledging support for England

Bromley Liberal Democrat Campaigner Ben Abbotts has today sent a telegram wishing England good luck for the 2006 World Cup on behalf of the people of Bromley & Chislehurst.

Local Liberal Democrat Campaigner Ben Abbotts said:

"I am pleased that I have the England flag on my campaign posters and that the Conservative Leader and Prime Minister felt the need to follow my lead.

"I have sent a telegram on behalf of the people of Bromley & Chislehurst to England Coach Sven-Göran Eriksson, Captain David Beckham and the whole England Squad wishing them the very best of luck.

"I will be spending my day touring various events around Bromley, Hayes and Chislehurst tomorrow but my campaign team and I will take time out to watch England's first game in the 2006 World Cup."
