Cameron's 'A List' snubbed by Bromley Conservatives

Lord Rennard, Chief Executive of the Liberal Democrats and by-election guru said:

"Bromley Conservatives have snubbed David Cameron's 'A list'.

"Instead, they have selected a candidate who we understand lives in the East End of London.

"I'm sure Bromley residents will be very surprised at the Conservative Choice.

"The Conservatives should not take Bromley for granted."

The Liberal Democrats have selected Bromley resident and Councillor Ben Abbotts to fight the seat in the by-election and have hit the ground running.

The Liberal Democrats finished second in the local elections and are the real challengers in Bromley & Chislehurst.

Candidates rejected by the local Conservatives include Eric Forth's widow, the Leader of Bromley Council, and the Chair of the local Conservative Association.
