Local Liberal Democrats to Select Candidate to fight Bromley & Chislehurst seat in By-election Campaign

Bromley Liberal Democrats are selecting their candidate at a private meeting of local Party Members tonight from a shortlist of two local candidates.

Tudor Griffiths, Bromley & Chislehurst Liberal Democrats Campaign Committee Chair said: "I am absolutely delighted that Bromley Councillor Ben Abbotts and Jo Christie-Smith have been short-listed.

"We are looking forward to a positive election campaign fighting on the local issues that matter to the people of Bromley & Chislehurst such as crime, anti-social behaviour, high council tax, health services and a fair deal for Bromley.

"The Liberal Democrats are the main challengers to the Conservatives here in Bromley & Chislehurst.

"Tony Blair's Labour party cannot win here in Bromley & Chislehurst, they came a poor third here in the local elections at the beginning of the month."
