The Greens, who are standing a handful of candidates across Bromley in the 4th May Council elections have admitted they have no hope of winning a single seat here. In their campaign launch they say they expect to gain seats in "Norwich, Watford, Manchester, Oxford, Bristol, Stroud, Kirklees, Sheffield, Camden, Hackney, Islington, Lambeth, Lewisham and Merton."

Chelsfield & Pratts Bottom Lib Dem candidate Duncan Borrowman, who is a former national Chair of the Green Liberal Democrats - and was described in Parliament by a Conservative front bench environment spokesman as "able and knowledgeable" - says: "The green choice in Bromley Borough is the Liberal Democrats. Liberal Democrats are the only party that can win seats on Bromley Council and press for real progress on environmental issues."
