The Chelsfield Park home of a Conservative councillor who moved to Blackboys in Sussex last Easter is up for sale.

Signs outside the home invite people to telephone 01825 891318 - the new home phone number for Cllr Adrian Marshall. A search on www.bt.com reveals his home address as Coopers, High St, Blackboys, Uckfield, TN22 5JU.

Lib Dem campaigner Duncan Borrowman said: "A recent Liberal Democrat Focus in Chelsfield & Pratts Bottom stated that Councillor Marshall returned to Bromley from his Blackboys home to vote for Council Tax rises, and that he no longer pays Council Tax here. Councillor Marshall moved away some time ago, and had come off the local electoral roll. It is now apparent that he is paying Council Tax on the empty Chelsfield Park home, and that the Focus article was incorrect."
