At a Bromley Council Local Economy meeting on 6th December the Conservative Chairman lost a crucial vote by 4 votes to 1 on a payment of £11,950 for one term's open community and core company classes for Magpie Dance.

Magpie Dance offer people with learning disabilities new ways of learning through the medium of dance.

Cllr. Martin Curry , Lib Dem Local Economy spokesman said after the meeting " I did not understand why, when the Tory Chairman Cllr. Reddin had clear guidance that the local economy portfolio covered this area, he kept trying to block funding for Magpie Dance."
