Independent Poll Backs LibDems to Win Orpington

An independent website, using data from opinion polls conducted over the last few months, has concluded that the Liberal Democrats are on track to win the Orpington parliamentary seat at the next General Election.

The site suggests that the Liberal Democrats will overturn the tiny Conservative majority of just 269.

Commenting, local Liberal Democrat Chris Maines said "This is independent verification that the Liberal Democrats are on course to win Orpington at the next election"

The site also predicts that the Labour party will lose their deposit in Orpington - failing to gain the necessary 5% of the vote. "This is confirmation of what we are finding on doorsteps throughout the Orpington constituency - the Labour vote is collapsing still further as their traditional voters switch to the Liberal Democrats to defeat the Conservatives" said Cllr. Maines.
