Eden Park Station - it is time to clean it up say the Liberal Democrats

Local Lib Dem team member Jef Foulger said, "Eden Park used to be one of the best run and prettiest stations in the South East. Residents have frequently complained to Railtrack about the scaffolding that has been there since before Christmas, which is vandalised regularly and used as a playground." Jef Foulger of the local Liberal Democrat team, who lives near the station, has spoken twice to George Taylor, the Tory Portfolio Holder for the Environment, about using his position to encourage Connex to do something about this run-down station.

But nothing has happened; the scaffolding is still there with no obvious improvements to the station, litter and graffiti continue to accumulate and residents are exasperated about nothing being done.

However Jef recently wrote to the Kentish Times to see if they could help, as they are campaigning against fly-tipping at local stations. Since the article was published this publicity has led to Connex trying to arrange a local meeting; the latest information we have is that this will be held on July 10th.
