Lib Dems are calling for Tramlink to be extended further into Bromley Borough

Liberal Democrats want to see TramLink extended further into Bromley Borough by 2012, the date of the prospective London Olympic bid.

Cllr Grace Goodlad, Spokesperson on Local Economy said "The Olympic bid offers us a great chance to get Transport for London to put us higher up their priorities. If the Olympics do come to Crystal Palace as part of the bid, TfL will have to reconsider it's plans and boost our transport links." Councillor Goodlad believes that if the Olympics come to London the burden of paying for them should not fall only on council tax payers "The Olympics would be an exciting and memorable experience for everyone living in London, however if businesses are to benefit so much from it they should be prepared to support the bid and not leave taxpayers paying huge Council Tax bills.".
